Non-members: $70 each
Interested in learning about manual controls? Hoping to improve your composition? Or maybe you’re just looking to figure out the basics.
For our 2014 season, we will be scheduling at least 6 monthly walks from May to October. And, no matter what your ability or interest level, these Instructor lead sessions will develop your skills, techniques and love of photography.
All locations are within a short driving distance of Kitchener-Waterloo (ie. Cambridge, Guelph, Stratford etc.) and they each explore different settings and environments.
All we ask is that you bring your camera, questions and your walking shoes as you actively experiment with camera functions and develop your techniques with a photographer by your side.
What does it cover?
Each walk is designed to accommodate photographers at any skill level and may include but are not limited to instruction on:
- Camera Functions – How to use your camera (settings, onboard finishing, etc.) in a practical environment.
- Composition & Story Telling – What to look for including rule of thirds, alignment, positive / negative space, perspective, leading lines, etc.
- Image Settings – Why to change your settings (ie. white balance, focus, exposure, resolution) and how they affect your images.
- Partial to Full Manual Control – When to use different settings (ie. Aperture and Shutter Priority) to control depth of field, and motion.
Come back in 2014 for our new schedule of walks starting in May 2014!
Note: Unless otherwise noted on our registration page, our walks will be approximately 2 hours in length and will start at either 9:30am or 1:00pm. Exact meeting spots will be announced to participants the week before the Walk. In the case of a cancelation due (ie. due to rain), participants can join us for the rescheduled city or can register for a different location on a different date.
